The Wire - Week 6

By Levi Ellis

Whether you're 5-0 or 0-5 or somewhere in between you have to work the waiver wire in order to bring home a championship. Take a look at our deep league finds listed below for this week's best pickups by positions. Also we are now into the bye weeks so check out your roster and see if you have any guys on bye this week before placing your bids. Happy bidding and good luck fantasy managers!

Bye Weeks - Atlanta, New Orleans, New York Jets and San Francisco

All players are listed in priority order based on position.

(2 QB Leagues Only)

Jacoby Brissett - 27/39 275 yards, 2tds, 1int - Brissett is a solid player and he has the Jaguars this week.  I know you smiled a little just now and maybe even had a little evil laugh. 10% of your remaining faab budget.

Geno Smith - 10/17 131 yards, 1td, 1int, 3 carries, 23 yards - Wait what, this guy’s still in the league. Yep and I can’t believe it has come to this. If you need an emergency QB then Geno does have some really nice weapons. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Davis Mills - 21/29 312 yards, 3tds, 1 carry, 2 yards - He went from being dead to me to blowing up the Patriots last week. He’s back on the radar now let's just see if he can duplicate this success. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Mike Glennon - 16/25 196 yards, 1td, 2ints, 2 carries, 2 yards - If Daniel Jones misses time then Glennon will get the start but that’s where the good news ends.  Glennon has the Rams this week. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Alex Collins - 15 carries, 47 yards, 3 targets, 2 catches, 25 yards - His stats may not have impressed last week but if he’s somehow available grab this guy in case Carson misses more time. 25% of your remaining faab budget.

Devontae Booker - 16 carries, 42 yards, 1td, 4 targets, 3 catches, 16 yards, 1td - If Barkley misses time it looks like Booker is the guy. 20% of your remaining faab budget.

AJ Dillon - 8 carries, 30 yards, 4 targets, 4 catches, 49 yards, 1td - Dillon is now involved in the passing game too and this appears to be a shared backfield. 20% of your remaining faab budget.

Samaje Perine - 11 carries, 59 yards, 5 targets, 4 catches, 24 yards, 1td - It’s clear Mixon isn’t 100% and Perine played well last week and has the Lions this week. 10% of your remaining faab budget.

Rhamondre Stevenson - 11 carries, 23 yards - Damien Harris is all broken at this point so there’s a possibility Stevenson starts taking more of the workload moving forward. 10% of your remaining faab budget.

Khalil Herbert - 18 carries, 75 yards - The Bears want to run the ball and Herbert appears to be involved hence the 18 carries last week. 5% of your remaining faab budget.

Kadarius Toney - 13 targets, 10 catches, 189 yards, 1 carry, 7 yards, 1 pass attempt - You read that right, 13 targets, 10 catches and almost 200 yards. This guy was a monster last week. While I don’t expect production like that moving forward it’s nice to know that he can handle the workload and Golladay is now hurt too. There’s a strong possibility that Shepard is back next week but Toney is a must own until we see differently. 25% of your remaining faab budget.

Hunter Renfrow - 8 targets, 6 catches, 56 yards - What else does this guy have to do? He’s consistently producing and is a must own in PPR leagues. 15% of your remaining faab budget.

Amon-Ra St. Brown - 8 targets, 7 catches, 65 yards - We are finally starting to see the potential that we all knew he had. 10% of your remaining faab budget.

Preston Williams - 5 targets, 3 catches, 60 yards - If Parker misses more time then Williams should be more involved while he and Fuller are both out. 10% of your remaining faab budget.

Chris Moore - 5 targets, 5 catches, 109 yards, 1td - If you’re wondering what team he plays for that is a fair question. Moore is a Texan and he blew up this last week. I can’t imagine that his success continues but the Texans need playmakers so he’s worth a gamble in deep leagues. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Donovan Peoples-Jones - 6 targets, 5 catches, 70 yards - The talent is there but I’m still not convinced there is consistency. He’s just a flier at this point. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

DeAndre Carter - 8 targets, 4 catches, 62 yards - The eight targets is what grabs my attention here. Keep an eye on Carter to see if he continues to garner this much attention in the offense. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Tavon Austin - 5 targets, 5 catches, 54 yards - With DJ Chark out Austin and Agnew are seeing offensive snaps and both guys are producing. These are deep league swings. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Jamal Agnew - 8 targets, 6 catches, 41 yards - See above. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

David Njoku - 7 targets, 7 catches, 149 yards, 1td - Who saw this coming last week? He went from being injured and possibly missing the game to have a career day. I don’t think we will see this type of production each week but he’s worth a stash just in case the production has finally caught up with the talent. 10% of your remaining faab budget.

Dan Arnold - 8 targets, 6 catches, 64 yards - The Jaguars got Arnold back in the trade with the Panthers and it seems they had a plan for this guy. He has been very involved in the offense and I think this is worth monitoring moving forward. 5% of your remaining faab budget.

Ricky Seals-Jones - 8 targets, 5 catches, 41 yards - Seals-Jones stepped in for Logan Thomas and he has at least two more weeks of being the primary TE. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Adam Trautman - 2 targets, 2 catches, 43 yards - Trautman only makes this list because we are finally seeing some signs of life in the offense and we know the talent is there. Hopefully the Saints continue to increase his involvement moving forward but for now he is only a deep league stash. 1% of your remaining faab budget.

Dead to Me (redraft leagues only)

Kenyan Drake - We all know this, right?

Royce Freeman - Even with CMC out he isn’t involved

Ronald Jones - Until Fournette gets hurt or loses Arians trust he’s droppable

Jeremy McNichols - Well it was short lived

Jalen Reagor - This offense just isn’t consistent enough to have two productive WRs

Titans WRs not named AJ Brown or Julio

Jared Cook - Parham is starting to get the Redzone looks

Cole Kmet - Bears passing game is a train wreck right now

Robert Tonyan - I think Rodgers forgot about this guy

Juwan Johnson - Trautman emerges and he just doesn’t get enough targets

Cameron Brate - Backup TEs aren’t necessary when you have 3 Pro Bowl WRs

On Life Support

Zach Wilson - He has a great future but that time isn’t now

Eagles run game - There’s talent there but it just isn’t working out

Trey Sermon - Mitchell is back and Lance is taking all the other carries

JD McKissic - Just like that he disappeared

Brandon Aiyuk - I love Lance but the passing game is going to slow down for a bit

Bryan Edwards - It was so hard to put Edwards on this list but they don’t throw to him enough

Robby Anderson - The curious case of Robby Anderson

Terrace Marshall - Still waiting
