Devy Games To Watch

(9)Ole Miss at (2)Georgia

Ole Miss is finding their strides and it came when Quinshon Judkins finally got healthy. This was the offense we expected at the start of the season and Jaxon Dart is playing some of the best football of his career and will look for another statement win on his resume. Tre Harris will need to come up big in the receiving game and in the redzone to keep Georgia’s defense from putting 8 in a box. Georgia’s Carson Beck continues to look better with each passing week and he is doing it without his best offensive weapon in Brock Bowers, but Oscar Delp is starting to step up.

Florida at (19)LSU
LSU is coming off a tough loss to Alabama. At the time of this writing, their Quarterback is a little murky. If Garrett Nussmeier does end up starting, I personally have full confidence and would be looking forward to the game as he is my QB1 for the 2025 class. Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas will need to make plays for LSU to hang on as their defense, especially their secondary, has been lackluster. For Florida, Eugene WIlson has been the bright spot for this team. The true Freshman is truly an exciting talent to watch weekly. The run game will be a duo led by Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne

(3)Michigan at (10)Penn St
Michigan gets their first test and JJ McCarthy will face a tough defense in Penn State. Michigan will need to keep a balanced offense with Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards will need to get involved and be a factor. Roman Wilson out wide has been a pleasant surprise and has become a true devy asset and potential day two draft pick. Penn State will need to get some offense going against a real team, which they haven’t been able to do. Drew Allar has had ups and downs this year and he faces a tough defense. He’ll need to rely on the run game with Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen to lead the way and take pressure off him, this game should be a nice game of chess.

Georgia Tech at Clemson
Georgia Tech is led out wide by True Freshman Eric Singleton Jr who has quietly turned in a very good season and has become the best Wide Receiver since Calvin Johnson. Clemson is coming off a great win and was led by Running Back Phil Mafah who shows what he can do when given a full workload. It appears Will Shipley will be back, we’ll have to see how Clemson does in the passing game, as they have struggled to really get any momentum going all year long.

Auburn at Arkansas
This game will be decided by the Running Backs and whichever Quarterback can make the play when the team needs it. Arkansas KJ Jefferson, looked like the old KJ Jefferson, with the return of Rocket Sanders, if Rocket can string together some nice games, it could be his sendoff into the 2024 NFL Draft. Auburn’s Jarquez Hunter has played to early season hype, he’s a runner that likes to bounce it outside into daylight and try to outrun defenders.

USC at (6)Oregon
USC has aspirations of the College Football Playoffs and are now unranked and are playing the spoiler role, Not the type of season they expected, How will they respond? Will they thrive without the pressure and play loose? Will that mean the True Freshman wide receiver trio get more action? Will we get to see a better defense with their Defensive Coordinator being fired? There’s a lot of questions with this team and Oregon will need to focus on this game as they try to make the top 4 for the College Football Playoffs. Bo Nix is doing his best to get to New York to be a Heisman finalist and that is due in part to standout Wide Receiver Troy Franklin. If any film has been done, this should be a game for Bucky Irving and Jordan James.

C2C Games To Watch

Temple at South Florida
This game features two Quarterbacks that really impress. Temple has EJ Warner who can throw for 400 yards any given Saturday and South Florida is led by Byrum Brown, who does everything for South Florida, he has over 2,200 yards passing with 17 touchdowns and can flirt with 1,000 yards on the ground. This has the makings of being a 42-37 type of game with two exciting playmakers at the Quarterback position.

ODU at Liberty
Liberty is undefeated and should be ranked, they feature perhaps one of the best CFF Quarterbacks and I consider a true devy asset in Quarterback, Kaidon Salter. A former top 100 recruit, he is single handedly leading Liberty and putting the team on his back, he is a gem to watch, and you should find time to watch him play.

NC State at Wake Forest
NC State’s MJ Morris has decided to Redshirt and by all indication, plans to transfer out. That leaves Kevin Concepcion to have to create by way of shorter routes and try to continue on the tear and he’s had a great True Freshman season, and one we tabbed before the season even started. Wake Forest has had an up and down year and they look to get back on track. Mitch Griffis has struggled after starting the season pretty strong, they have a good Wide Receiver in Jahmal Banks and feature Demond Claiborne in the run game.

Troy at UL Monroe
Troy likes to slow the game down, let their defense stop their opponent and get good field position so they can feed Kimani Vidal who is having a tremendous season. Vidal could easily run for 1500 yards by the time the season is finished.

Nevada at Utah State
Utah State is an exciting offense to watch, they like to run at an ultra quick pace and accumulate a lot of plays. They have a Wide Receiver that we’ve tabbed a devy prospect to watch in Jalen Royals, he’s an exciting player with verified 4.3 in the 40 and he has the ability to take it to the house each time he has the football.
