2023 SF Rookie Mock Draft: Round 1
3 min readWe are just days away from the NFL Draft. we here at DynastyPros gathered some other experts from around the industry and did a 3-round Superflex Rookie Mock Draft. It’s our final thought on these prospects before we actually know which team they will be playing for. This is just round 1 with rounds 2-3 being released next.
1.01 Bijan Robinson RB, Texas
For the second consecutive season, a non-QB is being drafted as the 1.01 in Superflex drafts. Robinson is already being valued as a top-5 dynasty asset and looks to be an immediate impact player at the position.
(Kevin Coleman – @daboys_22 – Footballguys)
1.02 Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
Smash pick for me in SF at the 1.02. Very likely starting day one on a team that has better weapons than expected. Could be a blue-chip prospect in a terrific draft class.

1.03 C.J. Stroud, QB, Ohio State
No need for a clock on this pick. It’s instant the moment I see him available. He’s my top QB in the draft. He has the size and college production to be that. His draft capital might slip a little but not enough for me to be off of him. He didn’t show the rushing upside in college but it can come out when needed. Ball placement and decision-making are key at the next level and he’s got it.
(Dustin Ludke – @theDunit13 – DynastyPros)
1.04 Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama
At this pick in the draft, it’s highly unlikely your team needs to reach for a Quarterback. Why not take the RB2 of this draft class? Gibbs is a dual-threat running back in the fact that he will get you not just rushing yards and rushing touchdowns but he can also be effective in the passing game after accumulating 444 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns. I see a lot of Alvin Kamara’s characteristics in Gibbs.

1.05 Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State
Heading into the NFL Draft, Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the consensus WR1 of the class with clearly porjected 1st round draft capital after smoking the combine. JSN had a massive 2021 season with both Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave on the roster ranking #3 in receiving yards (1,606), T-#9 in receptions (95), and averaging 123.54 yards per game. Even with some regression in 2022, JSN has future Top 12 Dynasty WR written all over him which makes him an easy selection for me.
(Nick Skrip – @P2WFantasy – P2W)
1.06 Zach Charbonnet, RB, UCLA
With a few WRs left on the board and I’m not sold on Levis or Richardson, my brain narrowed to 2 guys here…Zach Charbonnet and Hendon Hooker. There is a pretty big tier break at RB after Charbonnet, so I did not want to let him slip past me here.
(Tommy Harvey – @DynastyProsTom – Dynasty Pros)
1.07 Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida
The highest upside of any player in this entire draft, him being available at the 1.07 its a no-brainer to take him here.
(Hutchinson Brown – @hutchinsonb_ff – Football Guys)
1.08 Quentin Johnston, WR, TCU
Have questions about him still but the talent is undeniable. After a 1000+ yard season and 6 touchdowns to cap off his time with TCU, Johnston has the potential to be an Alpha WR1 in the league.
(Brandon Haye – @HayeB3 – DLF)
1.09 Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
Will Levis is probably the most polarizing prospect in this year’s draft. He has a lot of unknowns and things to work on, but if he gets top-10 draft capital he is a must-draft at this point in Superflex drafts. He has great size coming in at 6’4″ and 229 lbs and has one of the strongest arms in this draft class. The problem is a strong arm doesn’t guarantee success. Levis is definitely not a complete prospect. But as a QB his value will be high this late in drafts.
(Mike Hicks – @dropthemikeFF – DynastyNerds)
1.10 Jordan Addison, WR, USC
Great route runners will always be successful in the NFL. Even though I think Addison profiles more as a number 2, this is a great pick in the back end of round 1.
(Sam Waldorf – @WherezWaldorf – Dynasty Pros)
1.11 Tyjae Spears, RB, Tulane
After the NFL Draft, at least one of the running backs currently clustered in the 2nd round of Superflex mock drafts is going to float up to the late 1st. So here I took my guy, my RB4 Tyjae Spears, who will likely get late Day 2 capital, rather than a wide receiver with question marks like Zay Flowers, especially when you can get a comparable player like Marvin Mims at a much better value later.
(Brian Ford – @ffjunkie_ – Going For 2 and Dynasty Fever)
1.12 Zay Flowers, WR, Boston College
Where he lacks the ideal size to be a dominant X receiver in the NFL, Flowers makes up for it in tenacity and sheer skill. Can play X, Z, or slot. Flowers wins at the catch point and is an explosive YAC monster.
